Connie W – Chic of the Week – a Professional Networking Portfolio

By

This is Connie, my Chic of the Week  in my Professional Networking Portfolio.

Connie and I had a great time together trying skin care products and experimenting with professional eye looks.

Connie said her favorite products are the TimeWise® Firming Eye Cream and TimeWise® Microdermabrasion Set. She also appreciates the TimeWise® Day Solution Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35*  for its great sun protection qualities especially on the days she’s outside on her farm and loves how the whole TimeWise® Miracle Set® makes her skin feel! Connie also travels regularly and loves her Travel Roll-Up Bag!

Connie works with Two Men and a Truck as their Marketing Director.

Right now her company is sponsoring a program called Movers for Moms and collecting items for local shelters. If you’d like to help out, here’s the information!

What is “Movers for Moms®”? Movers for Moms is a donation drive collecting items and gifts in honor of Mother’s Day for women and children currently staying at local women’s shelters and family shelters.

History of Movers for Moms:

  • Began as a Michigan Co-op initiative in 2008
  • First year collections were small, but media coverage was strong
  • Second year we expanded to include elementary schools and collection totals and media coverage grew exponentially
  • Last year, we expanded into 14 states as test markets for a national launch of the program
  • In 2011 we had 85 franchise locations support more than 50 shelters across the U.S. with a donation of more than 65,000 gifts!

This is Omaha’s second year for the ‘Movers For Moms®”program. Last year we collected over 15,000 items for moms and children, and we hope to collect even more this year!

We are working with the Lydia House, Womens’ Center for Advancement and Stephen Center Shelter. Our partners this year include Alegent Health, Hy-Vee, Adams Elementary, Omaha South High Magnet School, Carriage Hill Elementary and Lutheran Family Church in Fremont. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is providing the boxes at all drop off locations, which include the locations in Omaha, Papillion, Bellevue, Fremont, Valley and Council Bluffs.

Furniture donations can be brought to our office or can be picked up by us to take to the Lydia House.
